I've noticed that every time the server we run Starfish on restarts, the Monitor service begins throwing the same error and I am not alerted that our sync is not running. This error is always preceded by an information entry saying the service had started successfully. How can I resolve this?
Hi Justin,
Thanks for the response. I checked the wiki and sample entry against my configuration settings and everything looks correct. I think the license code is only necessary when utilizing Watchdog, which I am not configured to do. But, I added it to the config anyway.
<setting name="LicenseCode" serializeAs="String">
<value>LicenseStringHere</value>
Then I stopped and re-started the Monitor service. It is throwing the same error after I added the license.
It's just really strange because once I open everything up (Quickbooks, Connector, and Starfish) and do a manual run through our jobs, Monitor starts working fine. It will send errors that sync isn't happening if Quickbooks gets closed.
This morning the server rebooted and I noticed that the error did not happen for inability to locate license. However, since Quickbooks and the Remote Connector did not open/login, sync was not happening. I didn't get a notification. Am I misunderstanding what the monitor program is supposed to do?
